CropWatch is the division of Fruit Growers Victoria Ltd which provides
Integrated Pest & Disease Management (IPDM) and field services to commercial
fruit growers on a fee for service basis.
IPDM is the environmentally friendly way to manage orchard health. It
utilizes a combination of natural pest enemies, selected chemicals and
careful orchard management, to control pests. Beneficial insects such as
predators and parasites, specific diseases, appropriate cultural techniques
and selective chemicals are used to OPTIMISE pest control, prevent economic
damage to crops and reduce environmental damage.
The use of beneficial insects for partial or total control of pests and the
use of synthetic pheromones that simulate the pheromones are some of the
IPDM practices that reduce dependency on chemicals.
CropWatch has a professional team of experienced, trained and qualified
field staff who are available to assist orchardists to maximise their
commercial returns.
