MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
Fruit Growers Victoria Ltd. has 3 main levels of membership:
- Grower Membership
- Affiliate Membership
- Subscriber Membership
1. Grower Membership
The benefit of FGV membership is the advantage of belonging to a highly regarded
industry organisation.
FGV, acting on behalf of all growers, carries more weight and influence than an
individual when dealing with the media, unions, government, service providers
and the supply chain. The industry, as a whole, benefits by avoiding a
fragmented approach and by presenting a united voice.
Those members who willingly participate in the range of services and committees
that emanate from FGV can ensure that they remain at the forefront of industry
decision making processes.
Grower members are entitled to receive 3 publications produced by FGV and
containing specific industry information:
Core Facts: a weekly electronic fact sheet
Growing Wiser: a monthly newsletter available electronically and hard copy
Top Grower: a technical publication produced quarterly by hard copy.
A Frost Warning Service from the Bureau of Meteorology is available via the
internet at no cost.
Grower membership rates are based on the number of hectares.
2. Affiliate Membership
Designed specifically for companies, businesses, suppliers and individuals
aligned or working with the fruit growing industry.
The following benefits are provided to Affiliate Members:
- Company logo and link on our website.
- Distribution of promotional material to grower members at reasonable
rates.
- Discounted advertising in the monthly newsletter.
- Joint representation with grower members on common issues.
- Opportunity to display up to one [1] A4 page of free advertising in two
Newsletters per year [booking is essential].
- Invitation to workshops, grower nights and FGV sponsored activities.
- Publication of the list of Affiliate Members in the FGV “Growing Wiser”
monthly newsletter on a regular basis.
- Encouragement of FGV grower member’s support of Affiliate member
businesses.
- Use of a meeting room at the FGV Offices in Mooroopna [booking is
essential].
- A copy of all Fruit Growers Victoria publications, “Core Facts” [email
only], “Growing Wiser” and “Top Grower”.
Affiliate Membership is $480 (plus GST) per annum
3. Subscriber
Membership
Subscriber members receive a copy of the weekly “Core Facts” [email only], the
monthly “Growing Wiser” and the quarterly “Top Grower”.
Subscriber membership is $160 (plus GST) per annum
